David Abse: David is the founder and lead inspiration for
toosh. David has over 20 years’ experience of working
in the voluntary and community sector. This includes six and a half successful
years as Chief Executive of Islington Voluntary Action Council, and a variety
of other achievements, including setting up and managing PEACe, LVSC’s
much-respected employment and personnel service. David is multi-skilled and
experienced. He has published work in a variety of respected publications,
has supported, trained and advised literally hundreds of voluntary organisations
and taken the lead in the development of numerous voluntary and public sector
partnerships and networks and in developing VCS involvement in Local Area
Agreements.
David is a qualified graphic designer and has an MA in Industrial relations
and Human Resource Management. Recenty David has authored the LVSC guide on
employment for BAMER groups, the Essential
Employment Menu.

Kitty FitzHerbert: Kitty is an accredited coach, with additional
training in organisational development and leadership. Kitty is a highly
effective coach and specialises in capacity building individuals within organisations,
increasing performance and delivery levels and supporting organisations through
change. With a background in the voluntary and NHS sectors, she understands
the “language” and environment and is well placed to work with
client organisations and their trustees, staff and volunteers to maximise
